Office Policies

Office Hours, Appointments

Office visits are by appointment only. Every effort will be made to give you an appointment at the earliest convenience.

Cancellations and Missed Appointments

If you cannot make your appointment, please give us the courtesy of at least 1 week’s notice so that another patient may have the opportunity to see the doctor.

Arriving for your in-person appointment 10-15 minutes early or 5 minutes early for your virtual appointment will help ensure that you and other patients are seen in a timely manner.

If you are more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, your appointment may be rescheduled. Of course, exceptions are made for emergencies.

Our physicians are committed to spending enough time with you to listen to your history and perform a thorough physical exam so they can accurately determine the root cause of your symptoms. This limits the number of patients we can see per day. Because of our commitment to quality care for you and our other patients, and the increasing trend of the general public to skip appointments without giving us notice, it has become necessary for us to charge for missed visits (No Shows).

Our team does everything we can to be on-time. As we are working with other patients who have complex medical conditions, there may be times when an appointment runs over or we need to take a call from another provider to help someone get the care they need and deserve. In this event, we ask that you be patient. We will be with you as soon as possible. If our delay will be more than 15 minutes, someone from our team will notify you.

Missed Visits / No Shows

Missed visits (No Shows) is defined as failing to give us 5 days notice of your inability to make a scheduled appointment. Patients who no show visits will be charged the full amount for the time reserved.

NEW patients who miss TWO consecutive initial office visits, or ESTABLISHED patients who miss THREE scheduled appointments, without the favor of notifying our office at least 5 days in advance EACH TIME, will be DISMISSED from the practice.

Fees, Payments, and Insurance

Our fees and charges are based on the cost of doing business and providing the highest quality medical care possible.  Our office does not participate with any insurance provider, however patients are provided a “superbill” which they may submit to their insurer for possible reimbursement.  Payment is expected at the time service is rendered.

Prescriptions and Refills

We will be happy to refill any prescriptions that have been originally provided by our office. We can fax or phone prescription refills directly to your pharmacy during normal business hours.

Our office DOES NOT prescribe long term narcotic pain medications for any reason. Our goal is to identify the underlying cause of pain and eliminate it. If you require long term use of a narcotic pain medication as a part of your treatment, you should have these medications managed by a specialist in narcotic pain management.

Prescriptions will not be refilled during nights, Fridays or weekends — please anticipate your medication needs and make arrangements for refills Monday – Thursday 9:30am – 3:00pm.
