How Worried Should You Be About Coronavirus?

Coronavirus hysteria is all over the news and social media.

Do you really need to be concerned or is this all just hype?

This was the big question I was asked by reporter Amanda Capritto of CNET the other day.

The bottomline is, Coronavirus is a significant issue in China. At the time of this writing and our interview, there were only 5 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the US and all of these people had travelled to affected areas of China. And, while person-to-person transmission is occurring in China, Coronavirus has not been spreading between people in the US.

Definitely keep an eye on what’s going on with the virus, but right now, there’s no reason to be freaking out.

The best way to prevent transmission of viruses, including influenza and coronavirus, is practicing good basic hygiene and maintaining a strong, healthy immune system.
